How long will a snap-on smile last for?

Invisalign aligners are much less visible than traditional braces. Even though there are still some patients who like braces, many individuals are looking to have an orthodontic solution that is hard to notice. Invisalign can straighten your teeth without others ever noticing until you show off your beautiful new smile.

Invisalign aligners are quite advanced compared to other treatments for tooth alignment and are on the cutting edge of orthodontics. Appointments surrounding Invisalign treatments are often more fun, comfortable and less time-consuming.  Since the orthodontists aren’t fixing brackets or adjusting wires, appointments focus on discussing a patient’s treatment. This makes the appointments very enjoyable for all parties involved.

Invisalign Can Improve
  • Mildly crooked teeth.
  • Protruding teeth.
  • Serious malocclusion (imperfect positioning of teeth when mouth closed).
  • Mild overbites (top row of teeth reach down over the bottom row).
  • Mild underbites (bottom row of teeth reach up over the top row).
  • Wide gaps in teeth.
  • Overcrowding of teeth.
  • Open bites.
  • Crossbites (upper teeth on sides of mouth overlap lower row of teeth or vice versa).
  • Excessive overjets (central tooth overlap).
How Invisalign Works?

You wear each set of clear aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and dental floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move, week by week and little by little until they have straightened to their final positions. You’ll visit your dentist about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time is between nine to 15 months and the average number of clear aligners worn during treatment is between 18 to 30.

Invisalign For Teens, The Invisible Option

Invisalign Teen is a clear aligner system providing a nearly invisible way of straightening teeth using removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teen’s teeth and it’s clear. These aligners replace the brackets, wires, and bands that traditional braces use.

We all know the image is important. Being able to feel like they fit in with their peers plays a big part in a teen’s self-confidence and self-esteem. During a recently conducted survey, Invisalign found that teens wearing their clear aligners were almost 70% less likely to be teased than those wearing traditional metal braces. That’s a significant statistic, and one that’s hard to ignore. The results also showed that teens wearing Invisalign aligners were more likely have more self-esteem while in treatment than those wearing metal braces. Being able to straighten their teeth in a more subtle way means they can skip all the self-conscious stuff and focus on cultivating their self-confidence instead!

Invisalign FAQ

How many hours a day do you have to wear Invisalign?

Strive For At Least 22 Hours Each Day. This gives you two hours to eat, brush your teeth, floss, drink and do other similar activities.

How painful is Invisalign?

In general, it is less painful than traditional metal braces, and the pain fades after the teeth adjust to wearing the aligners and to having new aligners swapped in and out.

Can I chew gum with Invisalign?

You shouldn’t chew anything while you have your Invisalign aligners in.

Do you eat with Invisalign in?

No, if you expose your aligners to the strong chewing forces that your teeth are trained to exert, you can damage or even crack your aligners, plus it’s just messy and not easy to eat with Invisalign in your mouth.
